Head coach of Carolina Fencing, leading the Tar Heels to the 2024 ACC men's team title — the program's first since 1980. A former UNC fencer and assistant, he was named head coach in 2019 and has guided athletes with a focus on technical excellence, tactics, and competitive development.
Adam Kaszubowski has been involved with fencing for more than 30 years, first as an athlete and then as a coach and referee. He was a bronze individual and team gold medalist at the 1994 Polish Cadet Championships, as well as a silver team medalist at both the 1996 and 1997 Polish Junior Championships.
In July 2019, Kaszubowski joined the Penn State University fencing team, which took team runner-up at the 2021 NCAA Championships. Under his leadership at PSU, his athletes achieved nine All-American honors. In October 2024, Adam joined the UNC Fencing program. Championships: 1st place in Algiers 2016, Cairo 2015, Cairo 2014, and Cape Town 2013.
Assistant coach at UNC and sabre specialist. Sherif supports athlete development, bout preparation, and team operations with a focus on disciplined technique.
